Light-first, by design
Depending on the room, full opaque privacy is exactly what you want, and that's exactly why we sell frosted films too. But Classic Reeded is designed for something different: the windows where you want to feel more private and you want to keep the light, both at once.
The ribbed texture scatters sunlight instead of absorbing it, so it keeps moving through the glass and into the room. You get genuine daytime privacy, and the room still feels warm and alive.

The honest part
Reeded film isn't opaque. During the day, it gives you full privacy, nobody can see in while sunlight scatters through the texture. At night, once the lights are on inside, it can show a soft silhouette, the same way most textured or frosted glass does. If your window faces somewhere with a lot of night foot traffic, we'd pair it with a sheer curtain for evenings. That's genuinely what we do at home too.
It's the trade we think is worth making for a window where privacy matters but doesn't need to be airtight, and where you'd rather keep the light than lose it. If your situation calls for full privacy around the clock, no exceptions, we'd point you toward one of our fully frosted films instead.

A note for renters
All of our films are removable and renter-friendly. If your situation changes, you move, you renovate, you want a different look, the film peels off cleanly. No residue, no damage to the glass.
And because every window is different, we offer custom sizes cut to your exact dimensions, to the nearest 1/8 inch. You measure, we cut, you install.

It works well if the bathroom isn't used mainly after dark, or if you're comfortable pairing it with a sheer curtain in the evening. For full-time bathroom privacy day and night, one of our frosted films is a better fit.
